Ristr8to Coffee, Chiang Mai Thailand.
The best part about Chiang Mai is its bourgeoning coffee movement. There are ultra hip coffee shops serving dank espresso and pour-over all over town, and this Australian style cafe is arguably at the top of the heap.
Their long black just about defines “good”. It’s flavor is as coherent and poised as a architect dressed business casual at his favorite sky bar. It has a smooth full body with cayenne chocolate notes and a slightly sweet finish. Not quite enough acidity for my light roast biased preferences but sill a superb product. They pull an espresso blend of “40% Ethiopia Yirgaheffe, 30% Papua New Guinea Sigrl, 30% Brazil Certado”.
Resiliency: 9/10 This velvety drink is made for seconds.
Affordability: 8/10 Very affordable by western coffee standards.
Cannabis Pairability: 9/10 Dig into the depths of the roast to find some funk by pairing with a pungent and mushroom strain, maybe the oldie but goodie OG Kush?
